Cable Public Library

Thirty years ago, four Iowa farm lads embarked on a two-and-a-half month canoe trip that took them from northern Minnesota all the way to Hudson Bay. One of the voyaguers, Dennis Weidemann, has written a book about their great adventure and will be talking about the book and presenting a slide show on the subject.

For this special event we've chosen a special location, The Rivers Eatery in downtown Cable. They've got the technology...and a lot more room than there is here at the Forest Lodge Library! While The Rivers is not typically open on Wednesdays this time of the year, they're partnering with us to make this happen. Food and beverage service will be available for those attending.

As an added bonus, RedberyBooks will be open that evening and a percentage of all sales will benefit the Forest Lodge Library.
