Description
Do we have a moral obligation to protect the future of a planet in peril? What DO we owe the future? These are questions asked in a new work called Moral Ground; Ethical Action for a Planet in Peril. This compilation of essays and testimony from over eighty visionaries from all walks of life...theologians and religous leaders, naturalists, scientists, elected officials, business leaders, activists and writers considers these very questions and that's what we will do on Wednesday, November 17th at 6:30. UCC Pastor Lynn Larson will facilitate the discussion. There is no necessity to have read the book in advance of this conversation. It is enough to care about and have an opinion about the future.
This is a pre-event for a Town Meeting-style event to be held at Redbery Books on Saturday, November 20th. Redbery will welcome Michael P. Nelson, one of the editors and contributors of MORAL GROUND, for a "town meeting" style event at the Rivers Eatery, beginning at 2 p.m. There will be music, readings by some of the book’s contributors, and a chance for lively community discussion. For more information on this event, call Redbery Books at 715-798-5014 or visit them on the web at www.redberybooks.com.
